Gravity Scoring Guide: Perfect Flips, Combos and All 10 Badges
How scoring works in Gravity: what each action is worth, how the combo multiplier builds and resets, what every power-up does, and how to earn all ten badges.
On this page
Gravity looks like a survival game, but the score comes from how you survive. Two runs of the same length can differ by a factor of three. This guide explains why.
What everything is worth
| Action | Base points |
|---|---|
| Energy orb | 10 |
| Speed zone | 20 |
| Near Miss | 25 |
| Portal | 25 |
| Rare orb | 50 |
| Perfect Flip | 50 |
A Near Miss is passing a hazard within a small margin. A Perfect Flip is flipping at the ideal distance in front of a hazard, so that you clear it at the last sensible moment.
The combo multiplier
Every scoring action feeds a combo that multiplies your points, up to 3×. If you go 3.8 seconds without a scoring action, the combo resets.
At full combo a Perfect Flip is worth 150 points instead of 50. That is why ordinary orbs matter: at 10 points each they are not valuable in themselves, but each one resets the 3.8-second clock.
Speed
The run starts at a set pace and accelerates steadily for the first three minutes, ending about 88% faster than it began. After that the speed stays constant. Hazards always keep a minimum spacing, so the track remains fair at top speed, but your reaction window nearly halves.
Power-ups and zones
| Pickup | Effect | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| Shield | Protects you from a collision | 15 seconds |
| Magnet | Pulls in nearby orbs | 8 seconds |
| Double Score | Doubles points earned | 6 seconds |
| Slow Motion | Slows the run to 55% speed | 4 seconds |
The track also has speed zones (60% faster while you are in one, and worth 20 points), portals (25 points) and low-gravity zones, where you fall at about a third of the normal rate. Low gravity makes flips slow, so commit earlier than usual inside one.
Double Score stacks with your combo. Six seconds of doubled points at a 3× combo is the highest-scoring moment available, so flip aggressively while it lasts.
All ten badges
| Badge | How to earn it |
|---|---|
| Defying Gravity | Perform your first gravity flip |
| Rising Star | Score 1,000 points in a single run |
| Quantum Master | Score 5,000 points in a single run |
| Precision Timing | 10 Perfect Flips across all runs |
| Apex Reflexes | 50 Perfect Flips across all runs |
| Living on the Edge | 10 Near Misses across all runs |
| Endurance Pilot | Survive 60 seconds in one run |
| Hyper Flow | Reach the maximum 3× combo |
| Daily Challenger | Complete a run in the Daily Challenge |
| Energy Harvester | Collect 50 energy orbs across all runs |
Seven of the ten count progress across runs or need only a single event, so they arrive with play. The two that take skill are Quantum Master and Hyper Flow, and they go together: you will not reach 5,000 points without holding a high combo.
The Daily Challenge
The Daily Challenge uses a layout generated from the date, so everyone playing that day gets the same track. It is the fairest way to compare scores with a friend.
Themes
There are five colour themes: Electric Cyan, Cyberpunk Amber, Midnight Stealth, Sunset Horizon and Abyssal Ocean. They change the look only. If you find hazards hard to read, try Midnight Stealth, which is built around high contrast.
