ElectroFix Tycoon is a game about staying ahead of your running costs. Bills are charged every evening and grow with both the shop and the calendar, so a shop that stops growing slowly gets squeezed. Numbers are from version 1.0.1 and can change with balance updates.

What you pay every day

A shop day lasts 10 minutes of play.

BillHow it is worked out
Rent$60 a day, plus $50 for every expansion you own. Rises 10% every ten days.
Electricity$10 a day, plus $8 per workbench, $4 per waiting-area comfort and $6 for the drive-through lane.
WagesEvery member of staff, every day.
UpkeepEach waiting-area comfort has its own daily cost.
TaxA share of the day’s takings (see below).

Staying open later (the Opening Hours upgrade) lengthens the day and stretches both the electricity bill and the wage bill by the same factor.

Tax

WhenRate
Days 1 to 40%
Player level 1 to 45%
Level 5 to 910%
Level 10 to 1915%
Level 20 and up20%

Tax is taken from takings, not profit, so it is charged even on a day you lose money.

Slow days and busy days

From day 6, about one day in four is a slow day with 45% of normal customers, and about one in seven is a busy day with 140%. The forecast is shown the evening before.

Advertising

With no advertising at all, the shop gets 70% of full demand. Only one campaign can run at a time.

CampaignUnlocksCostExtra customersLastsCost per day
FlyersLevel 1$60+25%1 day$60
Social Media AdsLevel 3$220+50%2 days$110
Radio SpotLevel 5$500+80%3 days$167
BillboardLevel 8$1,200+120%5 days$240

Flyers are the cheapest way to try advertising, but the bigger campaigns are slightly better value: per dollar spent, Flyers buy about 0.42% extra customers for a day, Social Media Ads 0.45%, Radio 0.48% and the Billboard 0.5%. That only pays off if your benches can serve the extra customers. Advertising a shop that is already at capacity just produces walkouts.

Loans

LoanUnlocksYou repayPer day for 10 days
$500Level 1$625$62.50
$2,000Level 5$2,500$250
$8,000Level 10$10,000$1,000

You can hold one loan at a time, and interest is 25%. A loan makes sense when it buys something that earns more than the instalment, such as a new workbench with a Technician to run it. It does not make sense for covering wages.

Earning more per customer

  • Premium devices pay 2.4 times the normal price and appear about 15% of the time from level 3.
  • Service Reputation adds 2% to every price per level.
  • Bench levels add 2% pay per level on that bench.
  • Drive-through Lane ($1,500, level 6): drivers pay 30% more but will not wait long.
  • Pickup & Drop Service ($600, level 4) brings in city orders, and needs a Delivery Rider.
  • Vending machines in the waiting area earn from customers while they wait.

Insurance

Theft cover ($20 a day, level 3) pays back 80% of what a thief takes. Equipment cover ($25 a day, level 4) makes bench breakdowns free to fix. Equipment cover pays for itself once you have several higher-level benches, because breakdown costs rise 25% per bench level.
