ElectroFix Tycoon Upgrades Guide: Benches, Tools and Expansions
What every upgrade in ElectroFix Tycoon does, what it costs, and the order to buy them in: workbench levels, Repair Tools, Service Reputation and shop expansions.
On this page
There are three ways to make the shop repair more: add benches, level up benches, and buy shop-wide upgrades. They compete for the same cash, so order matters. Numbers are from version 1.0.1 and can change with balance updates.
Shop expansions
Expansions are bought in order and each one adds a workbench.
| Expansion | Player level | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Second Workbench | 2 | $150 |
| Workshop Wing & Workbench #3 | 3 | $450 |
| Electronics Lab & Workbench #4 | 4 | $950 |
| Mega Tech Supercenter (Workbench #5) | 5 | $2,000 |
| Workbench #6 | later | $4,500 |
After the sixth bench, each further expansion costs about 2.1 times the last. Every second expansion also widens the waiting area. Remember that each expansion adds $50 to your daily rent and each bench adds $8 a day in electricity.
Workbench levels
Each bench has 25 levels. A level adds 8% repair speed and 2% pay.
| Bench level | Cost | Needs Repair Tools |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | $150 | Level 1 |
| 3 | $200 | Level 6 |
| 4 | $270 | Level 9 |
| 5 | $370 | Level 12 |
The price rises 35% per level. Build time rises much faster: seconds for level 2, about an hour at level 7, a day at level 16.
A bench also holds more devices as it levels: one at level 1, and one more for every two levels. That queue is what lets a Technician keep working while you are elsewhere.
Shop-wide upgrades
| Upgrade | First upgrade costs | Price growth | Effect per level | Max |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Repair Tools | $100 | +12% | +3% repair speed, all benches | 100 |
| Service Reputation | $150 | +12% | +2% on every price | 100 |
| Waiting Area | $120 | +14% | +1 seat, +1 queue spot, +1% patience | 60 |
| Carry Capacity | $120 | +10% | +1 device carried every 4 levels | 100 |
| Running Shoes | $140 | +10% | +0.35% movement speed | 100 |
| Backup Generator | $400 | +50% | Benches keep working in power cuts | 12 |
Repair Tools is the best value in the game early on. One level costs less than a bench level, applies to every bench, and is required for higher bench levels anyway.
Service Reputation adds 2% to every repair with no extra work, so its value grows with your volume. Start buying it once you have three or more benches running.
The Waiting Area changes class at levels 4, 8, 15, 25 and 40, and each new class adds a further 5% patience on top of the 1% per level.
Backup Generator
Each day has a 45% chance of a 35-second power cut. Without a generator, benches stop completely. At generator level 2 they keep 50% of their speed, and each level after that adds 5%, reaching full speed at level 12. Level 2 is worth buying early; the rest can wait.
A sensible buying order
- Second Workbench, then a Technician for it.
- Repair Tools to level 6.
- Workbench #3, then bench levels 2 and 3 on all benches.
- Carry Capacity to level 5 (three devices per trip).
- Service Reputation, a few levels at a time.
- Backup Generator level 2.
- Workbenches #4 and #5 as your player level allows.
